COVID-19 has changed our world. Tobacco prevention and treatment remains the Partnership for a Tobacco Free Wisconsin's priority. Many of the statewide coalition's partners have integrated pandemic response into their important work.
- Cigarette smoking and secondhand smoke exposure can suppress immune system function and cause heart and lung diseases.
- The relationship between the use of e-cigarette, or vaping, products and risk of COVID-19 is uncertain.
- For help quitting tobacco product use, or staying tobacco-free, call 1 800 QUIT-NOW or visit www.WiQuitLine.org.
- The American Indian Quit Line launched in February, 2022. In addition to calling the Quit Line at 1-888-7AI-QUIT, American Indians who want to quit can also text “READY” to 200-400 or get more information on the American Indian Quit Line at www.wiquitline.com.
