Darcie Warren, MPA - Coalition Coordinator
Darcie Warren comes to the American Lung Association from Milwaukee Children’s Choir, where she was Executive Director. Before that, she staffed UW-Milwaukee's Zilber School of Public Health startup for 6+ years. She supported the School’s successful initial accreditation efforts, and her major focuses included building academic programs, establishing policies, and directing student services.
Prior to working at UW-Milwaukee, Darcie worked as a Public Health Educator in the Wisconsin Division of Public Health Southeast Region-Milwaukee Office, and prior to that, she worked with SmokeFree Wisconsin. She supported local and statewide coalitions by providing training and assistance around policy readiness and growing grassroots power. Darcie started her professional career as a healthcare worker organizer with the Service Employees International Union.
Darcie graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BA in Political Science and completed a Master of Public Administration degree at UWM. She completed a fellowship with the Mid-America Public Health Leadership Institute and successfully completed training programs with the AFL-CIO, Midwest Academy of Organizers, and UW-Extension’s Leadership Institute.
She lives on Milwaukee's North shore with her husband and their two young children.
